MV Captain Cook’s Explorer takes you off the beaten track to places only the locals know and up close to some of the most beautiful and famous aspects of Sydney Harbour. The views are worth the journey alone – a breathtaking sunset over the sails of the Sydney Opera House to a sparkling dawn on the cliffs of the north shore. Evenings on board are a blend of top class food and wine, spectacular harbour sights, getting to know new friends and enjoying great entertainment.

The M.V. Captain Cook's Explorer chefs delight passengers with hearty buffet breakfasts, al fresco luncheons featuring local fresh seafood and contemporary Australian a la carte dinners. The friendly and professional crew provide the inside story on some of the colourful residents, folklore and history. In the evening there is entertainment, dancing and the romance of a sparkling Sydney night.

Dining, specialising in fresh local produce is a highlight of your weekend experience aboard Captain Cook’s Explorer. Guests enjoy hearty breakfasts, al fresco luncheons that feature fresh local seafood and a la carte dinners in contemporary Australian style. All meals are included as well as a 24 hour self service coffee bar and welcome fruit cocktail. Drinks are an additional cost.

The MV Captain Cook’s Explorer has three passenger accommodation decks, ‘A Deck’ with dining room and cocktail bar with panoramic harbour views, and a covered ‘Observation Deck’ for al fresco dining, sightseeing and relaxation; lounge and library; games chest and video.

Friday
Captain Cook Explorer At Night - Click To EnlargeThe friendly crew welcomes you at King Street Wharf, Darling Harbour. As the city lights begin to shine the MV Captain Cook Explorer departs for the dinner cruise. Tonight anchor at Farm cove by the shores of the Botanic Gardens, close to the sails of the Sydney Opera House.

Saturday
A cool morning stroll through the Botanic Gardens before healthy appetites tuck in to a hot buffet breakfast. Cruise the upper reaches of the Parramatta and Lane Cove Rivers and see foreshores and baysides packed with historic sites, trophy homes and prestige residential developments. The afternoon takes you ashore at Sydney’s historic Rocks district, Among immaculately preserved colonial architecture, you will find fabulous market and retail shopping, corner pubs, top art galleries and plenty of busking talent. This evening we anchor of the northern foreshore for the Captain’s Dinner, an evening of live music and dancing.

Sunday
An early walk through the bush and the old artillery emplacements on Bradley’s Head with glorious harbour views from the headland. The mid-morning’s cruise takes us into the territory of Sydney’s rich and famous – with huge homes and glamorous yachts bobbing in closely packed moorings. At beachside Watson’s Bay we had ashore to explore the charming old fishing village and historic naval establishments which make up this exclusive suburb. You can take a guided walk to The Gap, an optional sea kayak tour around the picturesque bays, or relax in the waterside pub. Once again on board, lunch is served al fresco on the top deck and we cruise back to Darling Harbour.

Departs sydney from No. 1 King Street Wharf, Darling Harbour at 6.00pm each Friday (boarding 5.00pm). Returns at 3.00pm on Sunday. Excludes public holidays and special event weekends.
